About the author:
What gives me reason to wake up each day is being able to live in the Lord’s grace, peace and power every day, and learning to be a better husband, father and a good citizen (sometimes through mistakes). But like everyone else, I also have my bad days too. Frustration, anger and bitterness can consume. I try to let those negative feelings go and give them to the Creator.
Staying positive is always a challenge. I might put on a smile. When I’m not in a positive mood, it can be hard to hide. I’m always reminded that I must extend to others the same grace that has been offered to me. I have found that the more grace I receive, the more grace I have to give away to others. When I am not offered grace but an accusing attitude, my tolerance can be low in return. Therefore, I ask for God’s grace and power to pull me through each day.
My life’s journey has been a surprise and a roller coaster of ups and downs. Providence eventually took me from working in the stress-filled financial field into ministry which can also be stressful and challenging (testimony). Stress, difficulties and challenges can be never-ending. But there always come a time of rest. We need rest. It is our sabbath.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, blogging, chilling at Starbucks or small cafes, exercising, cycling, skating and spending time with my family. I work as a chaplain (bio) and live in Victoria BC (Vancouver Island) with my family.
Other places I have lived include: Toronto, rural Saskatchewan, Virginia Beach VA, Ottawa ON, and Vancouver BC. My favorite most picturisque location is Victoria. There is no other place like hogtown-Toronto. There is also no friendlier people than the wonderful people of the praries. Every place is unique. Every person, every face I meet is special. I remain loyal to my friends. That is who I am. I value friendships and try to keep my friends.
