The violence in Arabic countries

The recent uprising of violence on the part of extremist Muslims brings disgrace to Islam. The violence demonstrated by Muslims actually legitimizes the stereotyping of Muslims, the religion of Islam, and the prophet Muhammad as being violent and dangerous. As Christians, we denounce the violence on the part of extremist Muslims.

If the opposite events were to happen (i.e., Muslims denigrating the Christian religion through film, and Christian extremists killing Muslim ambassadors and Muslim people), I think most would equally be quick to denounce the violence.  So it’s about time to try to be fair and less biased.  Mainstream news media and even the White House has failed to recognize this and are quick to play this blame-game by blaming it on this sub B-rated movie, “Innocence of Muslims”.

Honestly, was the cause of this violence totally the fault of this movie?  Highly unlikely.  Our propensity toward violence emanates from one’s heart.  Let’s begin by looking at the heart of the perpetrators of this violence.

At the center of this whole problem is the difference in our attitudes and understandings of free speech. On the other hand, what is common to people of every religion is the value and understanding of honesty in speech or free-speech. That is, if the prophet Muhammad did actually have a history of being an adulterous philanderer, then shouldn’t the truth be told? And if the same was said of Jesus’ disciples and even by today’s Christian priests and pastors, why should the truth about them be hidden in the dark? Who has the right to hide the truth about our sinful and shameful past? Who has the right to cover up the sins of religious leaders? Who has the moral authority to coverup anyone’s sins?

  1. Actually, more pointedly, the Obama Administration have outright lied to the American people. They knew all along that this was not just a film. This was a real terrorist attack and Obama knew it, but he covered it up even a month before. Documents made public proves the truth and it will probably hurt his campaign in these last few days before election day in 2 days.

  2. Donna, well I’m glad that the evidence finally came out after I published this post. The evidence substantiates the objective facts about this uprising they call “Arab Spring”.

This just goes to how mainstream liberal media is often too quick to give biased opinions. Now they look very biased–having fallen for “manufactured realities” concocted by some extremist Muslim clerics. If we think about it, how could a dumb film cause so much turmoil and violence unless there was some mastermind behind it. God knows how many other dumb films have already, and will be, produced in the future.

  3. Sorry if you misunderstood Kevin; I wasn’t saying that you were surmising anything-I was just commenting [or spouting].

  4. Sorry for this late reply to your comment. I was not just surmising about the current situation in the Middle East but I hope I was speaking about the truth concerning what is currently happening. I don’t condone the violence happening today, nor do I condone the violence that happened centuries ago with the Catholic Church’s crusaders. This type of violence should be condemned–in history and today.

I wonder if Muslims will look back in history five centuries later and wonder if what they did should be condoned or condemned?

  5. Isn’t what the extreme Muslims are doing, exactly what the “Christian” crusaders did in the past? with the same fervor and belief? and didn’t they use children to fight at the encouragement of the pope? Isn’t this the attitude ‘If you don’t belong to our religion, you are as good as dead’?
I think that is a tactic of Lucifer. Fighting over semantics instead of remembering ‘Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.’ [NIV James 1:27].
No truth should be hid, but one must be sure it is truth and not twisted history. Are there records that can be used to prove what is being said? or is the speaker surmising what happened based on surrounding circumstances?
This writer believes we all need to write our own sins on our stones and throw them into the river instead of at others.
