The interest in President-elect Barack Obama has not simmered yet. I think we all want to learn more about the new President. The conversations around the blogosphere prove it. Peter Kirk at Gentle Wisdom found an interesting link through another blogger (hat tip: John Meunier) of an interview with Barack Obama at Belief.net.
The article is called “Obama’s Fascinating Interview with Cathleen Falsani.” Have a read. It’s very interesting.
Matthew 7:20-21 “Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”
Obama = pro abortion, murder
Obama = gay unions, abomination
Obama = fairness doctrine, loss of free speech, 1st step in socialism
Obama = hate crimes laws, greater persecution of God’s people
Obama = divided Jerusalem, precursor to tribulation
And,these are only a few strikes against Obama. His fruit is BAD.

Stan, it’s too bad that Democrats can get away with it when their pastors make extreme comments but Republicans cannot. But maybe not. That’s why Obama had to leave his church.

Anon, I do believe Obama does have a genuine and personal faith in Jesus Christ. I believe it was his faith in God that helped bring him this far.
You may not agree with me but as an evangelical, I’ve learned through interaction with Christians from mainline churches that their faith is genuine even though they don’t express it the same way evangelicals do or necessarily have the same values we do. I don’t know if this division can ever be bridged but I hope that mainliners can learn to appreciate what we evangelicals appreciate. I believe that we all need to learn to accept our differences in religious beliefs. That’s what makes our faith interestin. There’s a big divide but it can only be bridged when we keep an open mind.

Well, my pastor [Jeremiah Wright] is certainly someone who I have an enormous amount of respect for.
I have a number of friends who are ministers. Reverend Meeks is a close friend and colleague of mine in the state Senate. Father Michael Pfleger is a dear friend, and somebody I interact with closely.

After reading the interview, I do doubt if Mr Obama is a "true" born again Christian. Or at the most, a baby Christian.
Pray for his salvation & growth in the knowledge of God & Lord Jesus Christ.
